Kik aims to put the instant in instant messaging - it's primarily designed for live chatting. So, like many desktop chat programs, when another user is tapping out a response, that's prominently displayed. And the user-interface and stuff going on under the bonnet is designed for speed of screen response and delivery.

Greedy companies want your custom then want to charge you a second time for being the customer.
You buy a phone at rip off prices and then have to pay to use it. High time these free apps were unnecessary and mobile companies gave you the airspace for your calls and texts. Either that or give away these phones at peppercorn prices to everyone and then charge for service. One way or the other, not both.
It has annoyed me all my life that I have had to pay a line rental on my home phone, and now on my cable connection. If a company wants your custom they should not charge you for a connection to the service. What next, a Sewer Pipe Rental? A licence fee for using the vacuum cleaner. Disconnect my water if i dont pay a Pipe Rental? British Corpaerate Greed will know no bounds
whatsapp's by far the best
they would charge you for fresh air if they could. and yes they would cut you off.
I MADE THE MISTAKE OF GETTING A SMART PHONE ON CONTRACT FOR MY DAUGHTER, NIGHTMARE,SHE HAS GONE OVER HER TXT USAGE A FEW TIMES BY MISTAKE AND VIRGIN SAY THEY ARE UNABLE TO SEND HER MESSAGE WHEN SHE IS NEAR HER LIMIT ALSO HAVE TROUBLE AS PHONE WILL NOT DOWNLOAD APPS, IVE TRIED TO SORT THIS OUT WITH VIRGIN BUT WITH NO JOY.
IM ON PAY AS YOU GO VIRGIN IF I TOP UP £10 A MONTH I GET UNLIMITED TXTS AND WEB USE. AND THEY ALWAYS SEND A MESSAGE WHEN COMING TO END OF CREDIT.
PAY AS YOU GO ALL THE WAY, SOME GREAT DEALS OUT THERE.
When i first bought my phone with Virgin it was alright!!
But about 2 months now into my contract with them they are also disagreeing to send my a message when i have nearly ran out of credit!!- My message is that they need to sort themselves out!
I'm with voda and they charge 12p per text, i tend to get a £20 freedom pack that gives me unlimited texts to all networks and free calls to all networks and landlines 01 and 02 at start of code.
What these companies neglect to say is the hidden charges included with line rental so you end up with a massive bill every month. What they should do is charge for line rental at say £10 per month and the rest is free.
Contract mobile phones aren't really free, you have to pay for it on a monthy basis for either 12 or 18 month contracts so i say pay & go phones are better then you can keep an eye on what your spending with no hidden costs.
