OnLive
OnLive (free, iPad and Android)
OnLive is one of the greatest gaming services yet developed for Android tablets and the Apple iPad. While the official release of the iPad version is still "tbc" (pending approval from Apple's own in-house app gurus) we have been happily playing away on the beta version of both the iOS and Android flavours of this cloud gaming service for the last few weeks.
OnLive's technology and business model is essentially very similar to Spotify, but instead of tunes, this service streams full-fat console games to your device. Which means that, once you've loaded up the app on your Android tablet or iPad, you can select from a rather splendid choice of triple-A console titles to play instantly - there's even the choice to go for a free trial demo or before purchasing the full version.
