We reviewed the original Go + Play a while back, and were fairly astonished by the sheer volume that it could pump out. This new 'Micro' version has the same distinctive design, but is a little lighter and more portable. It can run off either mains or batteries, and a set of eight C-cell batteries will keep it going for a full 18 hours, so it's a good choice for outdoor parties.

The sound quality is excellent - clear and detailed, with a nice punchy bass. However, the Micro's 60W output is nowhere near as loud as the larger Go + Play - which packs a full 90W - so you might want to consider that model as an alternative if you really need to pump up the volume.
