On a muggy May afternoon, we step into the basement room of London-based hi-fi specialist KJ West One and find ourselves in audiophile heaven. We're here to be treated to a demo of the Wilson Audio Alexandria XLF speakers. It's the first time they've been demonstrated in Europe, but why are we so excited? It's mainly because Wilson Audio describes its speakers as the "world's best" and it's slapped on a price tag to match. This is a pair of speakers that costs £200,000.

Yeah pliers for definite, I can see the £200k value in the speakers, did anyone know that Wonga had been fined for sending misleading threatening letters to the vulnerable, also Wonga has come under public and media scrutiny for interest rates of 4,214% APR.

They look like the jaws of a set of pliers to me, the picture of the speakers facing one another!
Some footballer will plonk his cheque book on the counter followed a couple of days later those £200k speakers will be belting out Sex Is On Fire at 2 in the morning. Don't there'll will be a Sitar in sight.

Still put my M100's against them. They may be 25 years old but they are Active and were light years ahean of their time. Well done Mr Boothroyd & Mr Stuart

I use to have Apogee Duetta Signatures + Krell mono blocks . They were breathtaking,
I have never heard anything to better them since. Alas they all had to go as children came along,
and children and Apogees dont mix very well,

The reviewer has neglected to mention what source and amplification was being used. The speakers can only project what they receive from the amplifiers.

It's bad enough that some of us have to put up with inconsiderate morons that play music with bass that is so loud that we can't enjoy music at a reasonable level! These companies don't think about us poor souls that don't like listening to these morons!
