Google has confirmed its entrance into the tablet market, with the announcement of the highly rumoured Google Nexus 7.

With its hugely attractive price tags of £159 (8GB) or £199 (16GB), the Nexus 7 is more than half the price of the most entry-level iPad. And with a release date of just a few weeks away, it's a tempting prospect for both tablet owners and tablet newbies alike.

Take a look at the video to see the tablet in action and be sure to leave us your thoughts below - will you be buying a Nexus 7?

I cannot afford one. It certainly looks great with its smooth and linear look, it is cheap, and the market store does not have a lot to offer, so it would be an excellent buy for someone who is thinking of getting a tablet. Usability is certainly another great attraction.
