In A View to a Kill, when Bond arrives at Zorin's chateau, he's escorted to his private quarters by evil henchwoman Jenny Flex. Once inside, fellow agent Sir Godfrey Tibbett uses a bug detector disguised as a shaver to discover the surveillance device hidden in the lamp. The pair leave a pre-recorded tape of them having a tediously boring conversation playing beside the lamp, allowing them to sneak off and investigate the rest of the building.

Ensure your privacy by using this real-life key ring bug detector to 'sweep' a room before you start talking. Although, admittedly, the chances of anyone actually being interested in eavesdropping on your personal conversations is probably quite slim. Sorry.
