Furby, Lite-Brite, Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots, Tamagotchi…

The very mention of Tamagotchi strikes a nostalgic yet fearful chord with many thirtysomethings. Apologies then because it looks like the barnstorming success enjoyed by the official Tamagotchi app has resulted in the classic pocket pets of yesteryear to make a return.

These new Tamagotchi updates (Tamagotchi Friends) are still the toys you know and love but incorporate modern gizmos like wireless technology and numerous mini-games have been built-in.

This got us thinking, these were some pretty advanced toys (for their day at least), what other retro tech toys do we want resurrected - and what tricks would we need to add to bring them bang up to date?
