Sony’s second waterproof Xperia tablet - the hottest Android slate?
LG Smart Manager refrigerator
The days when a fridge was used simply to chill our food seem to be past. At this year's Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, LG unveiled its new Smart Manager fridge. Featuring a touchscreen and camera, the fridge has an internet connection which enables it to connect with shopping services such as Ocado. Users will be able to scan barcodes of items, enabling the fridge to monitor stock levels and automatically add items to an online shopping account when stocks are running low or use-by dates expire. The fridge can even suggest recipes based on the ingredients you've got left and connect with the oven to tell it how to cook the recipe in question. All rather impressive, though for the estimated price of £2,000 we'd hope it could do the washing up, too. The fridge will go on sale in the UK later this year.
Price: around £2,000
