The computer industry should stop using jargon rubbish that many do not understand, for example,
PC, is it a Parish Council, Police Constable, Personal Crisis.
If they say it means "Personal Computer", what makes a computer personal ?
My computers at home are like the ones found in many offices, are the office ones PC as well.
So we now have a "Desktop PC" which is usually on the floor, not on a desk, a "Laptop" also called a "Notebook Computer" which is usually used on a desktop or tabletop.
Then the handheld ones, surely all should be called PC's if that is the industries choice ?
Facebook is a limited company which aims to raise funds for it's shareholders, a business not just a "Social Networking Site" as frequently claimed, but trying to look clever by attempting to redesign the English Language, does them no favours.
