HTC M7: new 5-inch Android phone spotted ahead of release
HTC’s much-rumoured new M7 handset has apparently been snapped in the wild, the first time the device has actually been seen despite months of speculation about its release.
Expected to launch at February’s Mobile World Congress show in Barcelona, the HTC M7 sports a 5-inch screen and, according to these new spy shots, will run the latest edition of the company’s Sense software, on top of Google Android.
These new images, picked up by Android fan site Android Police, are the first solid photographic that the device actually exists. Until now, only renders and gossip about the phone’s hardware have been available to smartphone fanatics.
While we’ll have to wait a few weeks for the official announcement (Mobile World Congress kicks off on 25 February), it seems HTC is more than ready to do battle with Samsung’s new 5-inch device, the Galaxy S4 and Sony’s recently unveiled Xperia Z.
