Despite only being available during the last 48 hours, it didn't take long for users of Apple's new iOS 6 software to begin reporting problems with the new mapping system. Soon details of these embarrassing glitches began to spread across social networks and the Internet like wild-fire. We've compiled a list of some of the worst mapping mistakes for your viewing pleasure. Spotted any yourself? Then leave your additions in the comments below.

I wish Luton had been relocated to the Devon countryside... then the rest of South Bedfordshire would have swathes of nice green countryside instead of the Arndale Centre.... and a much lower crime rate....

My I Pod died when I updated it to the IOS 6 I had to do a restore to the previous version and tried again but again the same thing happened so for now it wont get updated till apple sort out the bugs

Let's face it: the labelling on Google and Bing maps is a joke.
If you search for 'Luton' on Bing maps, it takes you to the right location but the text calls it 'Luton, Devon'. (Wishful thinking by the rest of the people of Bedfordshire?)
Google maps showed a label for a branch of Halfords in a canal, and a pub located on a narrow farm track between two fields.
I get the feeling that Google and Bing don't give a s***, as long as they get the advertising revenue.
