Wearable robots and body-enhancing cybernetic technologies were a big deal at Minnesota's annual International Conference on Robotics and Automation recently (or ICRA 2012 as hardcore robot fans know it). And a cheeky-looking robot that sits on a human shoulder stole the show this year.

The MH-2, as you can see from the designer's own pics right here, is a miniature humanoid robot that can be remotely occupied by one of your Facebook mates from anywhere else in the world. Effectively, the idea is that the MH-2 can be one of your family members or faraway friends merrily chatting away to you as he or she sits atop your shoulder. A rather neat, if slightly strange, idea!
