Anniversary
On the anniversary of his passing we look back at the legacy of one of Apple's founding fathers.
5 October 2011 - the world of technology mourned the loss of the mind behind landmark gadgets such as the Macintosh, iPhone and iPad. Steve Jobs lost a long and fraught battle with pancreatic cancer on 5 October 2011 - he was aged just 56.
During the year that followed, Apple dug deep and mustered the strength to march onwards, mapping a new path and releasing the iPhone 5 to great (and commercial) acclaim, as well as a 'new' iPad (the third) and iOS 6. Jobs' legacy lives on, for example his guiding hand is said to have influenced some of the decisions behind Apple's latest iPhone, as well as four years' worth of ideas (including plans for an Apple television).
Join Tech & Gadgets as we look back at some of the visionary's greatest achievements and defining moments both inside and outside of Apple.

He Lived, he set up Mac, he lost the plot, came up with the IPOD, then the IPhone and IPAD et al. He died - Move on and get over it
He seemed like a nice chap, good ideas but he wasn't the messiah.
TBH i didnt see the big fuss over the iphone/ipad UNTIL i got one and now can't imagine going back to an inferior machine i.e. Nokia/Blackberry/Sony/Samsung or similar.
I mean i dont use most of the facilities on the iphone/ipad i just use the full hd video cam occasionally the web browser sometimes use it as wifi hotspot if i'm out and need to use my laptop and use the QR reader app when i want to find and save web pages easy the list goes on what they can't do in my opinion isn't worth doing... theres an app for almost everything from printing my photo's wirelessly using epson iprint app cyberlink remote app for when i want to view media without sitting at my pc keyboard etc etc seriously AND THE ALL NEW IOS 6 IS THE DOGS WOTSITS!!!
@Geoffrey Philip (Wize Gye)
Have you had an iphone 4s or ipad 3? or are you just jealous because you perhaps don't have the finances available to afford one and stuck with an old nokia that back in the 1990's was the dogs wotsits...
