Mini Ninjas comes out in September (image © Eidos)

You might not expect the developers of Kane & Lynch and the Hitman series to follow up those dark, violent titles with a cartoon platformer, but that's exactly what Io Interactive is doing.

Mini Ninjas, which comes out on September 11, pitches the player into the role of Hiro, a young, rather small, ninja who must save the world from a magical army. It all sounds and, indeed, looks very cute (defeated enemies don't die, they transform into harmless woodland creatures); but from what we've seen of it so far, there's some fun, fast gameplay in there too.

Hiro's not the only good guy in the game (that title says ninjas, plural, after all), with a bunch more masked assassins on hand to help him out.

Every week in the run-up to the game's release, we have been revealing another one of these characters on MSN Tech & Gadgets, along with some exclusive video of them in action. We've now added the last of these, central character Hiro.

Take a look at all the characters from Mini Ninjas and keep an eye on the site for a full review coming soon.
