So the bottom line is, is it worth it? After all, it's not like the current MacBook Pro range is overweight or underpowered. The current screens are not exactly shabby. But one glance at the Retina Display, with text that looks as sharp as print, and you're hooked. As usual with Apple, the machine was announced and started shipping on the same day, so there's no time to wait. Apple says it's the best laptop it's ever produced. That seems clear. What's more, it may lay claim to being the best laptop yet.
