10. Packard Bell EasyNote TS11
Price: £499
Rating: 4/5
A good, all-round laptop with an attractive 15.6-inch screen for watching video. The dual-core i3 processor provides all the power you need for most routine computing tasks, and it's got plenty of memory and hard disk space for storing all your music, photos and videos. It's a bit heavy, and battery life is a relatively modest four hours, but it's good for the price.

I just don't get why you would even consider a laptop these days, they are all built to the lowest standard and can barely keep up with a similarly priced desktop on idle.
would be nice to see a laptop come out that could actually take some mild abuse from it's user before taking a fit and becoming an expencive door stop.
desktop/tablet combo don't even waste your money on a laptop.
