Publishing dream comes true
I had wanted to run my own magazine for years, but had always thought the dream was out of my reach. Then, one day, I realised I'd had the power to do it all along. Using my Hotmail account and a bit of willpower, The Hive Times was born.
Hotmail allowed me to access a number of social networking sites, including Facebook and Twitter, to help spread the word about my magazine. I talked to more and more people to get ideas and inspiration and contacted various businesses to communicate my plan.
When it came to the launch I decided to distribute the magazine digitally via Hotmail. Instead of having to print it out and post it, I could just send it to people as an attachment to an e-mail. This was much more environmentally friendly and also helped me keep track of how many people received the magazine. The message has since spread and now I am sending out The Hive Times to people all over the world.
