What is SkyDrive?

Windows Live SkyDrive is Microsoft's free online document storage and file sharing service.

Your SkyDrive is the ideal place to store your Office docs, photos and files, online. And because it's an online service your stuff is stored in "cloud" - meaning you can access your files anywhere with a working internet connection.

SkyDrive is free to anyone with a Windows Live account - so if you use Messenger or have a Hotmail email address you already have one!

SkyDrive for Windows Phone

Whilst SkyDrive functionality on Windows Phone could previously be found in the Office hub, the standalone app introduces a more thorough feature set.

Some of this additional functionality includes tasks like browsing SkyDrive, sharing links to folders or files, deleting
files, and creating folders.

Now the SkyDrive app for Windows Phone also lets you manage and share files - all in one place. You can:

- Browse your entire SkyDrive including files shared with you

- View recently used documents

- Upload your pictures

- Share a link to any file using email

- Create folders. Delete files or folders

Get the free SkyDrive app for Windows Phone now by visiting the Marketplace on your phone, Zune, or via the Marketplace website.

iPhone customers can now access all of their files in SkyDrive, create folders, delete files, and share links to folders and files directly using the Mail app.

The free SkyDrive app for iPhone is available to download now from the App Store on your Apple device.

Alternatively you can find it by visiting the App Store iniTunes on your PC/Mac.
