Does it make phone calls and send/receive texts?

What else does anyone need of a phone? I am not being cynical, I actually would like to know.

Been using Nokia Most of my mobile days. Great Features and upgrading my phone in July,  the options are Iphone or Nokia Lumia and just on looks alone the Nokia fits the bill. Have tested my brothers Windows 7 HTC and the Os is excellent so at the moment altough I dont like the Zune software on the pc its the only something that still swaying me to Iphone.
