I think I will stay for the moment with Windows 7. Usually until these new set ups are fully proven, there are too many gliches. Why do we have to have all these new set ups which appear to me to be alterations simply for their own sake, with little real improvements or actual advantages at all. To me this seems to be alterations to justify someone's job. I personally become fed up with all these none essential changes.
Humm..! Did anyone notice that the "START" button on the Start bar is MISSING.. For all those people who don't like a cluttered desktop are stuffed, and just out of curiosity, where's the
Shutdown/Sleep/Hibernate button got to?? I can see business's really loving the Xbox style front end - "A Games machine in work" lol..
And just to rub things in a bit more, why on earth have Microsoft included 2 versions of Internet Explorer 10, only to have Google Chrome installed (notice to icons in the Start bar and on the desktop)? I would assume that IE10 isn't working fully and Chrome came to the rescue!
I did try posting 52mins after the first posting (definiately paid for ADVERTS!) but they wasn't accepting posting then, so i typed this into notepad and will keep pasting into the comments
section until it's accepted..
Anyone who uses a desktop, who is prepared to part with any money for W8 really needs to see a shrink, because it is a complete waste of good money.
Stick to W7,it's the best M$ distro by a long chalk,M$ have not made this OS primariliy for desktops anyway,it's more for portable devces,a way of competing with Chrome et'c.
W7 was 'light' by Windows standards when it came out,it now takes 21.7GB on my drive,I'm willing to bet, that with W8,it will exceed W7 on drive space within 12 months of release.
I suspect that it's because of continuous updates, mainly security issues, when a service pack would be a better option than doubling the space occupied on the 'C' drive.
