@Chris Causer: These are apps for Windows 8, not Windows Phone 8, notice there was one that connects your Windows Phone 8 mobile phone to your Windows 8 PC (7 of 11). As for your review on the Windows phone, yes I agree with each point you say about the apps, however I have not experienced the crashing (my other half has a Windows Phone 7 Nokia Lumia) but yes, I have a handful of apps on my iPhone that she can't get for her Windows Phone 7 which did make me feel like I won't be moving across anytime soon.

I HAVE A LUMIA 900 AND DELL (LAPTOP), ALL ARE PRE-INSTALLED WITH WINDOWS 7. CAN THEY NOT WORK WITH WINDOWS 8?. WHY IS 'MARKET PLACE' ON MY LUMIA STILL NOT AVAILABLE IN MY REGION/COUNTRY - NIGERIA?.

the upgrade including dvd adds up to £41.47 best to try it before complaining

Thank you for pointing that out for me @Richard Ellemore. I missed that lol.

I won't be upgrading to win 8 either due to the lack of dvd viewing plus the fact that this one will be the "donkey" of the bunch like millenium was between win98 and xp,vista between xp and win7.

Unless you have a touch screen I doubt the upgrade to 8 will be worth it and therefore these apps will remain mostly unused :)

It would have been better serving up these apps for xp and 7 to encourage people to migrate to 8 rather than promise an upgrade for between £14.99 and £25 to 7 users.

These are just a few of the apps available on winphone 8? Sorry, but MSN are just trying to sell the phone to you!!

There are precious few apps for winphone and most of them are overpriced, work poorly or just not worth the download!!

When an advert says download the app you can pretty much guarantee there won't be one for your windows phone. So expect little support.

Not only that , but you can expect loads of crashes, frustration and stress using a winphone.

I know...I've got one!!
