Despite sounding like a Transformer's baddie, the LG Optimus Black is an Android smartphone for the style-conscious on a budget. It launched to shouts of being the world's slimmest smartphone, when in fact, a number of others had already beaten it to the title.
However, quibbles about mobile waist-size aside, the new LG mobile packs in a surprisingly bright 4-inch NOVA display. And fans of mobile e-books in particular will value the screen's 700 nits of brightness, which delivers "true black and white colours for ideal handset viewing".
