$1.1 billion spent by web giant - but why? Here's all you need to know
Site lists legal download sources

A new website has been launched which lists the UK's authorised online sites
A website aimed at countering illegal downloads of films, TV shows and music by listing the UK's authorised online sites has been launched.
The Content Map links all legal sources of entertainment content in the UK.
Consumers will be able to search through more than 150 websites and platforms offering films, TV shows, music, video games, e-books and sports broadcasts.
In the UK, the music and film industries together lose more than £500 million a year because of piracy.
Susie Winter, director general of the Alliance For Intellectual Property which put together thecontentmap.com, said: "We realise that it can sometimes be difficult for people to differentiate legal sites from illegal sites.
"That is why the creative industries have come together to launch a central online hub where consumers can be secure in the knowledge that they and their children can identify official services."
