Price: £149.99
Video resolution: 1080p (1920x1080)
Storage: SD Card (not included)

Panasonic's TA1 camcorder doesn't have any eye-catching features that make it stand out from the crowd, but its slimline design is easy to carry around and it provides good image quality for both video and still photos.

The TA1 records high-definition video at full 1080p resolution, and shoots still photos at 8MP. There's a small built-in light that helps when shooting in really dark conditions, and a webcam mode that you can use for video chatting on your PC. The design is a bit flimsy, though, and with no memory card included the TA1 does look a little pricey at almost £150.

Score: 7/10
