US bookseller Barnes & Noble has unveiled a plethora of devices to the UK technology press. Two NOOK tablets (the HD and HD+) and two e-readers (the NOOK Simple Touch, and Simple Touch with GlowLight).

It marks the beginning of Barnes & Noble's tablet offensive against Amazon, Apple and Google with their 7-inch NOOK HD and 9-inch NOOK HD+ models.

The NOOK HD is the lightest and highest resolution 7-inch tablet and the NOOK HD+ is the world's lightest full HD tablet. Both models will be available in the UK later this autumn, just in-time for the inevitable Christmas rush.
