Acer Iconia Tab B1

Cheap, cheerful and a cinch to use, the Acer Iconia Tab B1 features a 7-inch display and runs on Android Jelly Bean. The smaller form factor means the Tab B1 is a nice size for younger children to handle.

With a dual-core 1.2GHz processor being the stand-out feature of the spec-sheet, the B1 isn't exactly pulling up any trees when it comes to technological innovation but, at less than £100 for an Android tablet from a brand you've actually heard of - you can't be too picky.

Key Features: The triangular corner grip on the lower left of the tablet, designed to give extra grip.

Perfect for: Kids who want a 'proper' tablet with full access to Google Play.

Downside: Limited hardware may lead to a slightly sluggish performance.

Price: £104 (Check the latest deals with Bing)
