Huawei have just unveiled the MediaPad 10 FHD; we investigate Huawei's latest tablet and our pick of other worthy contenders to the throne.
They might not be a household name (yet) but Huawei (pronounced "wah way") are the largest supplier of mobile technology in the world. The MediaPad 10 FHD is their first Android 4.0 tablet, and will serve as Huawai's opening salvo in the fierce war of modern tablets that's playing out in the global battlefield.

Why are these tablets needing quad core processors etc... What is actually being performed on them that requires all this power. From what I can gather all people bang on about is web browsing, watching films, sharing every small detail of thir life that nobody cares about on Twitter or Facebook and not much else.
Why do they need it? Has anyone got a sensible answer rather than just giving me a Fanboy thumbs down. Can you actually get games or programs that require hardcore performance such as meaningful video editing progs, games like Skyrim etc....

They are just 'toys' and not essentials, and it will never replace a laptop as there is no keyboard (unless the electro fabric ones become a reality!
One KEY feature though.....This plays FLASH video and media....IPAD slayed!

We already have a brill tab on the market that`s even better than apple & does & can add lots more to it, YES THE SAMSUNG GALAXY, I swear by it, some people need to open their eyes

I think the Asus TF700 Infinity is the ultimate rival to the ipad 3, it beats it in nearly all head to head challenges and benchmark tests, however being an android device I would like to play with it before I choose between the two. I’m so bored of ios now and there dragging their feet to much, not at all innovative.

I had the ipad2 and got bored with being locked into apple. If these eventually get 3/4G support, then I may consider one.

What you pay for is what you get. It is always going to be a case of less costs less. Thats not a reason to criticise because there is always a lower end market to be reached and satisfied.

The retail price will be cheaper but what about the quality of the product!!! Huawei are the largest supplier of mobile tech but they have always lacked the final touch on their products.

For 199 at HMV it has 32gig not 16 and runs 4.2 jellybean.
